Heritage on Wheels: an IXOU tour through Montevideo
As part of Heritage Weekend, we joined the Montevideo Classic Car Club in an experience bringing together classic cars, architecture, and the city across some of Montevideo’s most iconic landmarks.

On Saturday, October 3rd, Heritage on Wheels took place—an initiative by the Montevideo Classic Car Club inviting classic cars onto the streets to experience Montevideo from a unique perspective.
The day began at the Gonchi Rodríguez Museum with a breakfast hosted by IXOU, followed by a vintage car caravan through various heritage and landmark sites across the city.
As part of the itinerary, the IXOU Route featured three checkpoints at our projects: ÂME, ZIEL, and Alma Et.
At each stop, participants stamped their passage passports to continue the tour. In doing so, three IXOU projects became part of an experience celebrating Montevideo’s history, architecture, and urban evolution.
Heritage, architecture, and city
Classic cars are part of a heritage that is preserved, enjoyed, and above all, kept alive when driven on the streets.
Architecture shares a similar essence. Cities are built from different eras, visions, and ways of living that coexist and leave their mark.
For IXOU, it was particularly meaningful that ÂME, ZIEL, and Alma Et were part of this journey: three projects set across different areas of Montevideo, united by the same mission of bringing fresh architecture and enduring value to the city.
The caravan concluded at the Classic Car Museum of Uruguay, bringing to a close a morning where heritage and the future shared the streets of Montevideo.
A city is also built by celebrating its history and crafting the heritage of tomorrow.
