Description
ÂME is a residential project of exceptional scale located on the first line of Buceo Bay, in front of the port and the Montevideo promenade. The complex is made up of only twelve residences, conceived as independent houses facing the sea and accompanied by an extensive service infrastructure.
The project was designed by ArchitectureStudio, an international studio based in Paris. His proposal is based on a reflection on the transformation of domestic life, new habits and the ecological transition. Instead of reproducing the traditional apartment building model, ÂME seeks to transfer to the collective format some of the qualities of an individual home: privacy, spaciousness, contact with the outside and a direct relationship with the landscape.
The residences are organized through perforated volumes and large exterior expansions. The balconies function as true open rooms, extending the environments towards the sea and generating spaces protected from wind, noise and solar radiation. This bioclimatic strategy allows the architecture itself to contribute to interior comfort.
The location is a fundamental part of the experience. The port, the promenade, the Yacht Club, the gastronomic offer of Diving and the views towards the bay make up an active environment, but at the same time closely linked to the water and open horizons. The sunsets over the Río de la Plata and the movement of the port become part of the daily life of the project.
ÂME incorporates a heated outdoor pool and swimming channel, solarium, sauna, spa, indoor garden, outdoor green areas, training studio, gym, locker rooms, clubhouse and parking with valet parking. It also integrates infrastructure for charging electric vehicles.
Due to its low number of units, its location and the quality of its common spaces, ÂME offers an intimate and highly personalized residential experience. It is an architecture that does not seek to impose itself on the landscape, but rather to build a deep relationship with it, transforming the sea, the wind, the vegetation and the light into essential components of each home.
- Balconies as an extension of the interior spaces.
