Halo

HALO is a residential project designed by Monoblock and located in Punta Carretas, one of the most established and demanded neighborhoods in Montevideo. The proposal will incorporate residences and a commercial premises, combining contemporary housing with a ground floor connected to urban activity.

Punta Carretas is characterized by its proximity to the promenade, Villa Biarritz Park, the Golf Club, the lighthouse, shopping centers, gastronomy and services. Within this context, HALO seeks to integrate into a high-quality residential fabric and take advantage of a location that allows it to combine neighborhood life, coastal landscape and connectivity.

The participation of Monoblock places the project within an architectural line that prioritizes conceptual clarity, material expression and the construction of buildings with their own identity. The studio already collaborates with IXOU on projects such as RISCO, MINI and MIRLO, although each responds differently to its location and program.

In HALO, the commercial component planned for the ground floor will allow maintaining a more permeable relationship with the street. This decision helps to avoid a completely closed basement and favors the incorporation of activity and services to the immediate environment.

The name of the project suggests an architecture related to light, contour and the presence of the building within the urban landscape. However, as this is a development still in the stage prior to its full launch, IXOU has not officially published the number of units, their typologies, surfaces, amenities or definitive technical characteristics.

The project must therefore be presented as an evolving residential proposal, supported by the joint experience of IXOU and Monoblock. Its objective will be to contribute a new piece of contemporary architecture to Punta Carretas, with carefully designed residences and an active relationship with one of the most attractive sectors of Montevideo.
